Plasma cleaning technology can remove particulate pollutants from the surface of materials, making it more conducive to bonding or printing. The pollutants removed are mainly particulate pollutants, such as organic matter, epoxy resin, photoresist, oxides, microparticle pollutants, and so on. So, how to detect the cleaning effect after using plasma for cleaning? Is there any convenient method?

Plasma cleaning technology can remove particulate pollutants on the surface of the material, making the surface of the material more conducive to bonding or printing, and the pollutants to be removed are mainly particulate pollutants, such as organic matter, epoxy resin, photoresist, oxide, particulate pollutants and so on. So, how do you test the cleaning effect of plasma after cleaning? Is there any easy way to do it?

Before using a plasma cleaner to process a product in batches, the sample is usually pre-processed and the product is processed in batches after the desired effect is achieved, which is more efficient. Among the many detection methods, the water drop angle (contact angle) measuring instrument test and the dyne pen test are the two most commonly used methods, and there are also methods to use some special instruments or special process effects to clean the board.

The water drop angle measuring instrument is the contact angle measuring instrument, which is one of the more common detection methods in the evaluation method of plasma cleaning effect in the past. The cleaning effect was identified by comparing the change of the water droplet angle before and after product treatment, and the smaller the contact angle of the water droplets, the better the cleaning effect. The specific method is as follows: a drop of pure water is dropped on the surface of the sample before and after the sample test, and the contact angle is measured by the microscope on the instrument for 3D measurement, and the angle of the water droplets is measured respectively, and the cleaning effect is judged by comparing the small contact angle before and after. This anti-method test data is accurate, simple operation, high refolding and stability, and is one of the commonly used detection methods.

The water drop angle instrument is a more commonly used plasma machine detection instrument, but it is not suitable for testing all plasma treatment products, the initial surface energy of the material is different, and the reaction on the surface of the plasma treatment is not the same, most products can be used to detect the cleaning effect with the water drop angle instrument, it is worth noting that when using the water drop angle test, the size of the water droplet for each test should be kept similar in size.
